About

Founding:
Obsidian Order is a guild founded on mutual respect, friendship, and the good of the many over the wants of the few. The founding members of Obsidian Order came together under the banner with the intent of forming a progression oriented raiding guild where all members would be treated fairly and with respect.

The How and Why we Raid:
Obsidian Order raids for two reasons to have fun and to progress. Obsidian Order is a ten man strict raiding guild due to it being the preferred style of raiding of our founding members. Which instance we raid on a given night is planned by our raid leader from there discussion of possible strategy changes and feedback and input of any given progression fight of how we can improve is given by all raid members.

We provide flasks, stat food, potions, and guild repairs for raids. We understand progression raiding can and will be expensive and don’t want anyone left behind because they can’t afford the consumables and repairs. As such we do ASK but by no means require any donations raiders can afford in the form of materials to make said consumables.

While we currently have no plans to branch out into twenty five man raiding it is still a possibility for the future.

Our goals in raiding is to get gear and experience on as many members as we can so that any member can raid in a progression encounter and not be left behind.

How Loot is Handled:
Loot is distributed via the loot council method. Our loot council is comprised of the current raid and our Guild Master (when not in that current raid). The vast majority of loot is handled between members and only in rare occasions is an actual council discussion needed. Bind on Equip epics will be given to a raider even if not in the actual raid that the item dropped. If no main spec character can use the drop it is sold in the auction house to pay for guild repairs, flasks, and other raid consumables.

Tier tokens are a little special and with our goal of progression tanks and healers will generally have priority for tier token drops. Obviously there can be exceptions to this generalization but the overall goal is to create a strong as possible raid group.

Items that are disenchanted during raids are put into the guild bank for members to use for enchanting gear. Rare enchanting materials are only used for raid level items while the more common materials are used to enchant any gear to help improve the guild.

Summary of Goals:
• To raid with friends, have fun and progress through content.
• Treat all members with equal respect and fairness.
• Distribute loot fairly so that our raid as a whole grows stronger.
• Provide the resources to raiders to stream line the raid process as much as possible.
